Introduction

The Berlin Economic Forum Project 2014-24 is a 10-year global project organized by the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy in partnership with global governance organizations, national governments, leading academic institutions and multinational corporations. The project is built on the experience that we have gained with our previous project: the “Berlin International Economics Project 2010-14”.

The forum aims to analyse and discuss national economic policies and the application of their presentation with the particular focus on sustainable business, tourism, responsible foreign investments as well as national cultural exhibitions and presentations. The forum will demonstrate how these can be used as primary drivers for economic growth. The forum will also emphasise the use of Cultural Diplomacy in the economic policies of nation states and their national presentations.

The Forum provides a thorough background of the application of Cultural Diplomacy in the framework of international trade, nation branding, tourism, international corporations & business, fostering entrepreneurship and building economic bridges between the public sector and corporations, nations and groups of nations.

The Forum will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, plenary sessions, social activities, as well presentations of representatives from different nation states of their national brands. The vision for the Forum is to bring an interdisciplinary mixture of representatives from the public and private sectors, so as the aacademia, in order to initiate and develop programs and projects that will support sustainable economic growth at the national and international levels.

Speakers & Delegates

Speakers during the forum will include leading politicians, senior diplomats, governmental officials, senior academics, journalists, and celebrated artists. Forum Locations

Based in Berlin, the conference will be hosted in the ICD House of Arts & Culture, the German Parliament and several hotels in Berlin.

Participant Papers »

The Conference Committee encourages academic research and analysis of issues related to the goals of the Conference. The Conference Committee would therefore like to welcome the participants of the conference to submit a paper they would like to be considered for presentation at the conference as well as being included in the proposal document that will be issued following the conference and will be sent to all governments and leaders of the international community worldwide.
