International Business, Sustainable Investments and Tourism Development in Modern Economies
March 2nd - 6th, 2026
The Berlin Economic Forum 2026 will take place in Potsdam from 2 to 6 March and will focus on international business, sustainable investments, and tourism development in modern economies. The Forum will bring together policymakers, corporate leaders, financial institutions, international organisations, and academic experts to review current global economic dynamics and emerging opportunities for cross-border cooperation. Discussions will address how sustainable investment strategies can support economic transformation, strengthen competitiveness, and advance long-term development objectives.
Tourism development will form a central part of the programme, with an emphasis on resilience, sustainability, and innovation in a rapidly changing global environment. Participants will examine how tourism can stimulate economic growth, generate employment, and support cultural exchange while meeting environmental and social standards. The Forum will serve as a platform for new partnerships, sector strategies, and practical policy recommendations that connect international business with sustainable economic models.
Tourism will be a key focus of the Forum, examining its economic, social, and environmental impact on modern economies. Discussions will explore how modern tourism trends, including digitalisation, experiential travel, and cultural tourism, can drive economic growth while preserving local communities and ecosystems. Sustainable tourism practices will be highlighted as essential for balancing development with environmental protection and social responsibility, ensuring that tourism benefits both destinations and visitors. Participants will share strategies to promote responsible travel, enhance regional attractiveness, and create long-term value in line with global sustainability goals.
